Groundbreaking Wonderfulness!

Hi and welcome!

I'm Anne, your Personal Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church Geothermal/Permeable Brick Parking Lot Surface Blogger (PEAUMCGPBPLSB). More importantly, thanks for stopping by this blog, where I'll share pictures as well as news and thoughts as this whole geothermal thing happens. The links on the right provide lots of information on geothermal heating and cooling and related topics.

So we broke ground today on the geothermal project! We've been planning and working and waiting for soooo long, and now it's starting. In my mind, this could not be cooler. Well, it was hot today, but I think you get my drift. Here's a picture of Doug Dixon, co-chair of the capital campaign team, breaking some ground. Dig the dirt, man!

Really this project is two projects: the geothermal heating system plus the paving of the parking lot with permeable brick pavers (rather than asphalt) to allow water to more naturally return to the earth.

Please become a follower of this blog and feel free to make comments and ask questions as they occur to you. I'll try to answer all your questions and even just hang out and talk about things if you feel like chatting.

Here are some more pictures from today's festivities. Enjoy!
